Khan has shared information from sources that suggest the retread will deviate from the original in a number of ways. One of the most significant concerns the game’s tone; Capcom is said to be striving for a “spookier” atmosphere and vibe for the RE4 remake, potentially going so far as to resuscitate some of the art direction and other concepts that were hinted in the game’s early editions. M-Two, the studio behind the RE4 remake, is also said to be extending Assignment: Ada and Separate Ways, the original’s two mini-games that let players play as Ada Wong and Luis Sera, respectively. Capcom hopes to reveal the RE4 remake “early in 2022,” according to Khan, implying that a teaser will be released shortly.
