How the Crystal and Gem system works in Edge of Eternity

In Edge of Eternity, the player will be able to use gems and crystals to improve their character within a game that pits them against other players.

The “edge of eternity crystal merging” is a system that allows players to merge two different crystals into one. This helps the player gain access to new abilities, and it also makes it easier to level up.

If you’re acquainted with the RPG genre, you’ll recognize the crystal and gem system in Edge of Eternity. However, there are intricacies to the way gems and crystals function if you’re new to the genre. The weapons are leveled independently of the characters. The first step in learning the gem system is to keep track of weapon levels. Only one slot is available at level one. The remaining spaces are all locked and have numbers decorating them. The weapon level is represented by these numbers.

If a locked slot has the number six engraved on it, for example, that slot will only unlock if the weapon reaches level six. This grid requires deliberate decision-making. There is no way to fill every slot, unlike other games with comparable leveling systems. You’ll see that the red gemstone slot is obstructed in the screenshot above.

This is due to the fact that we decided to utilize a purple gem instead. Near the top of the picture, you’ll find another lock symbol. It’s up to you, the player, to decide how your character progresses and which perks are required. If you’re using Daryon and have the regular swords, it’s probably not a good idea to invest in jewels that speed up invocation.

It isn’t, however, that straightforward. Each slot machine has its own set of basic bonuses. Inserting any purple gem into the purple slot, as seen in the picture above, enhances the character’s incantation speed in addition to the gem’s unique perks. Physical damage is increased by using the red slot. The gemstone, on the other hand, grants Daryon the defense breaker skill, enabling him to lower an enemy’s protection.

This brings us to the topic of gem making. Crafting benches with a wrench symbol overlaying a gem on the compass show where gems may be found in large cities. Gems may be found in chests and dropped by enemies. If you’re playing on hard or nightmare, the basic gems you obtain from finishing stuff won’t go you very far. Normal and easy players may be able to get away without it, but the gem making system is still worth exploring just in case.

To adjust stats or add other powers to existing gems, up to five gems may be put together. The gem placed at the top determines the ultimate output. A yellow gem put at the top of the crafting menu, for example, will always yield a yellow gem, regardless of the other colors mixed in. When considering your weapon’s available slots, keep this in mind.

This is an ideal time to transfer the aforementioned defense breaker ability from the purple gem to a red gem, giving you access to it as well as the physical attack boost. We suggest saving before beginning any gem creation so you don’t end up with anything you don’t want. The system does not seem to adhere to any logical principles.

Mixing three gems, for example, may offer you a large boost in health, speed, and attack. Instead of providing additional attack to the current gem, adding a fourth gem with an attack boost modifies the whole stat distribution, giving you a meager amount of defense and incantation speed. Setting some time to explore with gem creation is worthwhile. Don’t worry if it takes a while to discover one that you like. The investment will be repaid in the end.
