The Division Heartland Leak Reveals Game Modes, Map Details, and More

The Division is one of the most hyped titles coming out this year, if not ever. With its unique blend of first-person shooter and RPG mechanics, it has a lot to offer both long-time players as well as newcomers. Uncovering new details on The Division’s content releases ahead of time can be difficult but now that an important leak has been found in the game files we might have some information on what to expect later this year.

Ubisoft hasn’t said much about The Division Heartland since it was announced in May 2021, but in a new exclusive report, Battlefield leaker Tom Henderson has revealed some of the free-to-play shooter’s supposed game types, terrain information, adversaries, and other data.

The Division Heartland, according to Henderson, has at least two modes, the most important of which is “Storm,” a PvPvE mode that challenges players to survive, scavenge, and extract from Silver Creek, the game’s huge, virus-infected terrain. The Division Heartland’s other mode, “Excursion,” is a PvE game meant to prepare players for Storm.

The Base of Operations, an abandoned ice rink that enables players to modify loadouts, trade weapons, choose daily and weekly assignments, and more, serves as the game’s core focus. It also has a tiny arcade containing earlier Ubisoft games, however it’s unknown whether or not they’ll be playable.

The Division Heartland is expected to be published in March 2023, according to Henderson.

Operational Base (BOO)

Classes and Characters

In The Division Heartland, there are presently six different characters to select from, three male and three female. Nothing else separates them except from their looks.

Expert in Weapons

“tracking shot” – Enemies are tagged after being damaged by a firearm for 5 seconds. “shared armor kit” – Armor kits fix both your and your teammates’/friends’ armor.
Covert Armor is a perk.

Medic

“Health Recovery” is a talent that allows you to restore your health after staying under cover for a brief period of time. “Shared health kit” is similar to the above, however it is for health.

Survivalist

Heartland, like every other The Division game, has AI foes known as “Vultures.” There are six distinct varieties of vultures in the game for now, each with its own set of abilities. Flanker, Grunt, Heavy, Sharps, Hooter, and Technician are the six varieties of Vultures.
