IGN has posted a new 18-minute gameplay video for Ghostwire: Tokyo. The focus on ray-traced reflections may be seen right away. The makers have made extensive use of technology, from rain effects to glass windows. The game’s concept is that Tokyo has been invaded, and the player must save their family while unraveling the mystery of what caused the disaster.
With features from Control, the graphics are evocative of the cities in Crysis 2. We witness several iconic locations as the protagonist travels across Japan’s capital. YouTubers have already praised the game for its city and graphic quality. The parallels to Control become obvious when the player frees the residents from their ghostly control.
A number of features of the PlayStation 5 version have been optimized for the system.
