Ray mounts are a new type of mount that was introduced in the expansion Stormblood. They have a unique appearance and can be found across multiple areas near water, but they’re not easy to get without help from other players who’ve already got one.
The “ffxiv striped ray mount” is a mount that can be obtained in FFXIV. The mount is obtained by doing the quest “The Striped Ray Mount”.
The Kojin Beast Tribe sells the Striped Ray Mount for 12 Kojin Sango in Final Fantasy XIV. You must be Rank 8 (Bloodsworn) with the Kojin to do this.
Kojin Sango are gained through completing Tamamizu’s Daily Beast Tribe Quests.
Each completed Quest grants you one Kojin Sango.
The main grind here is completing Quests in order to raise your Rank. The Kojin don’t give out free Striped Rays to just anybody. You’ll get 60 Reputation for each, for a total of 1,730 Reputation.
It will take you 31 days of Quests to get from Rank 1 (Neutral) to Rank 8 (Bloodsworn).
That requires keeping on top of things and frequently knocking off all three. Fortunately, you’ll have enough of Kojin Sango for your Striped Ray at the conclusion (and other treasures).
Not to mention the Experience and Tomestones you’ll earn by accomplishing these tasks! A fantastic method to level up other jobs or pass the time while waiting in lengthy duty lines.

You’ll need to accomplish a few Quests to get started on your way to becoming an aetherically upgraded Striped Ray.
The first step is to finish the Stormblood Main Scenario Quest “Tide Comes in, Imperials Go Out.”
This is a level 63 quest in which you will be tasked with freeing Isari, a fishing community.
It’s not nearly as thrilling as fighting the Lord of the Revel before it. However, after you’ve supported the needy people and talked with your buddies, you’re good to go.
You may also unlock the Kojin Beast Tribe before going to Yanxia.
To begin the quest “Heaven-sent,” locate the Vexed Villager (The Ruby Sea – Isari, X:7 Y:13).
You’ll find yourself on the Sakazuki’s seashore in pursuit of his lost daughter. Find the Overconfident Kojin (Sakazuki, The Ruby Sea, X:28 Y:31) and help him defeat his foes.
You’ll be dispatched to meet Kabuto (The Ruby Sea – Tamamizu, X:34 Y:20) after you’ve finished. The quest is now complete, and the Kojin Beast Tribe has been unlocked.
