The hype for this hotly anticipated release has been building since 2017 when it was revealed as a PS4 exclusive during Sony’s E3 conference – but many were still surprised by how fast God of War sold out. In less than two days after launch, more than 49,000 people had purchased the title making it not only Sony’s best-selling video game debut ever but also their fastest-selling video game ever at retail!

God of War’s PC version has proved to be a big success. In its first 24 hours, it was played by over 49,000 users, according to SteamDB. Although no sales figures have been released, the game has reached a high of over 66,000 players since its debut on Friday.

It has a massively good rating, with positive ratings accounting for nearly 97 percent of the 10,000+ feedbacks on Steam. Most people have praised the port’s quality and polish, as well as its enhancements over the original console version, thus the creators should be pleased.
