The 2023 Guide to Where Are Steam Screenshots Saved? You’ll find out in this blog post!
How To Take A Steam Screenshot
Taking a Steam screenshot is simple, and the methods are almost same for each game. The only difference is the button you must hit to capture a screenshot.
To capture a Steam screenshot, launch your favorite Steam game and click F12 or the Print Screen™ button on your keyboard, depending on your computer’s settings. This will save a picture of what is now on your screen. View™ then Screenshots™ in the top left corner of your Steam library will show you where your Steam screenshots are kept. This will display all of the screenshots captured while playing any of your games. You may then send them to friends, post them on social media, or just keep them as souvenirs.
Accessing The Steam Screenshot Library
The Steam Screenshot Library is an in-game viewing facility for screenshots of Valve game shop network titles. Users may utilize this digital library to save, view, and share screenshots with other gamers.
The Steam Screenshot Library may be accessed through the main Steam platform or via specific games.
To view the Steam Screenshot Library from inside a game:
- Open a different tab or window and browse to your Steam > View > Screenshots folder.
- You may view all of the screenshots captured in-game using the library after accessing this folder.
- Simply submit your screenshots using the library interface and distribute them as wanted to share them with friends and family.
- Furthermore, if you want to remove any undesired images from your collection, just mouse over them and pick delete from the available alternatives.
Changing The Default Steam Screenshot Location
Users of the Steam platform may snap screenshots of their gaming experiences and store them to their desktops. These screenshots are stored to a particular folder on your C drive by default. However, you can change the default folder for your Steam screenshots in just a few easy steps.
To begin, launch the Steam Client and go to Library/In-Game/Screenshots Once there, pick “Show on Disk” and then “View Screenshot Library.” This will open Windows Explorer to the folder holding all of your Steam game screenshots. Select the “Move Folders” option at the upper right of this window to move to another folder where you want your future game screenshots stored.
You will now be asked if you want to relocate or copy all existing screenshot folders to your newly chosen location. Simply choose “Move Folder” and confirm that you wish to do so by clicking “Yes” when asked.
When you take fresh screenshots in Steam, they will now be stored in the updated place rather than the default one.
