Game developers, the people who create video games and digital entertainment pieces have a lot of problems to solve. They need to find ways around existing technical limitations in order for their projects to be successful. Here are some examples of those challenges:

This is a list of problems, but also some interesting things that could be added.

FortniteBattleRoyale7 - a list of problems, but also some interesting things that could be added (before my memory lapses)

Now, I’ve been playing Fortnite for about 6 years, and I’ve encountered a plethora of bugs, mechanics, glitches, and other issues that I assumed would be addressed but were completely neglected (despite the reports ive filed for them)

So, let me begin at the beginning (these are all on an Xbox one S)

PROBLEMS:

  • When attempting to pick anything from the events tab in the corner of the main quest screen, it regularly crashes.

  • Even when neither is plugged in, the game tries to go back to mouse and keyboard.

  • Despite the fact that the quests for Joel’s pub and Karolina’s portraits state that they must be found in zones above 40, they can easily be found in zones below 40 (found 6/10 portrait and pub in a single level 5 zone in Stonewood, though there appears to be a 50/50 chance that it will count towards the side quests)

  • Most “founders” blueprints can be broken down, never to be returned again, despite not having a spot in the collecting book.

  • Smashers will spawn within buildings at random, which isn’t usually an issue…. but it becomes a problem on wave 5 of Stone Wood SSD 10, when they spawn within a block or two of the defensive objective (almost lost because of that)

  • When you go to set the wrap for a particular item, it automatically sets the wrap for all of your goods, so make sure “apply all” is set to both tap and hold, or Y or X on Xbox controllers (and whatever the corresponding buttons on other platforms are)

  • ‘Sploders are just plain annoying; they don’t really add any difficulty to missions unless they’re specifically defense-related; perhaps they shouldn’t spawn on non-defense-related missions; it’s cruel to have them on “build the relay,” where you build the tower only to have it suddenly leveled and you have to start over, like seriously… That’s needlessly harsh, particularly to those of us who are in Flow.

  • The last stage of Misfit Toys keeps playing in every mission; I understand that the reason for this is that someone who hasn’t finished it is in the session, but it’s getting annoying hearing poor Ted have an unexpected therapy session with Quinn; it was fun the first few times, but like Frozen’s “let it go,” there’s only so many times I can hear it before I go clinically insane.

  • The Upgrades Menu gadgets Tab is experiencing seizures all the time… I have no clue what’s causing it or how to solve it, but it may be a seizure danger. It’s definitely inconvenient to look at, and oddly enough, the tools tab doesn’t seem to do anything about it.

  • LESS GHOST TOWN REQUIREMENTS I’ve had to do far too many tasks in ghost towns, and to make things worse, they’ve nearly always been some kind of punishment for exploring I. I’ve never seen a Rescue the survivors or build the relay on a ghost town map since I reached Canny valley (basically missions with a shrinking storm radius that not only hurts you, but also applies an annoying screen effect), and I’ve never seen an Eliminate and collect, Evacuate the shelter, and Resupply (basically missions with a shrinking storm radius that not only hurts you, but also applies an annoying screen effect).

  • It seemed to resolve itself after I replied in the in-game message system, apparently the other players Y button was hit, so he list weapon swapping and a couple other things when two people try to edit an object and it is destroyed. For me, it was the B button related stuff, so the hover board, and building/editing, it seemed to resolve itself after I replied in the in-game message system, apparently the other players Y button was hit, so he list weapon swapping and a couple other things

  • the in-game text system has the most recent message blocked by a blank text box, and when opening menus after you’ve typed in chat it will constantly try to open chat again, seems to do it with both controller and M&K, makes communication clunky and uncomfortable… more uncomfortable than it normally is for the antisocial crowd

  • When constructing relay towers, the material symbol next to the kind of tower seems to be inaccurate around 40% of the time; it should either be rectified or eliminated; if removed, we should be allowed to try and error it, which is preferable than a system that is incorrect 60% of the time.

  • Venture mode is notoriously unstable, with issues ranging from having to wait 1-3 minutes between loadouts or “hitting a wall,” to occasional absurd difficulty spikes, such as a level 48 spawning in a level 34 zone.

ADDITIONS TO QoL/INTERESTING THINGS:

  • Maybe call it Exploration mode, with no timer (or just a really long timer), many mini events, and vehicles for easier transportation. You could even use the most recent royale map, but allow us to explore it, with fun little events all over, give players an incentive to care about the mode they don’t usually play.

  • Have a constant dungeon crawl mission mode, like “hive mode” or something, with a theme for each zone. For example, have Stonewood be a rotted out old mansion, Plankerton be a deep cave system, and Canny Valley be a forgotten infested Vindertech bunker, and have them give out different rewards based on their Biome (for example, Forest/Plants based items and schematics, Suburbs/DIY items and gear, Industrial park/Heavy machinery based gear, and so on), and have them give out different rewards based on their Biome

  • Allow us to have IED Schematics that are craftable; we see them all over in missions, and it would be wonderful to be able to rely on them in strategy.

  • fishing… I simply enjoy fishing in games, so maybe a nice mini game mode for fishing tasks on the wide world map?

  • Home base as a customisable open world zone would be wonderful, maybe as a social location for STW mode, so some of us wouldn’t feel so alone (seriously sometimes it feels like im playing an empty game, even when im trying to use “play with others”)

  • Less alert tasks, but much higher payouts, such as having ten storm missions in Stone Wood instead of 26, and have them give out 80-150 PDoR, 200-500 of each elemental perk up, 300-800 event tickets, and so on.

  • More maneuvering mechanisms are needed; it’s frustrating that the only two characters with moving skills are Ninja and Outlanders. Perhaps give troops a short-burst jet pack and builders a ladder or something.

  • More harvesting abilities, i.e. heavy attack esk abilities like the Outlanders; for example, have ninjas use a slash dash but with a pickaxe and a much shorter range, constructors use a shoulder bash similar to their bull rush but with a shorter range for a stationary AoE, and soldiers use a shockwave system (the effect not the ability) and have it be a stationary AoE.

  • Cycling character-related tasks, such as Toon Meowscles’ black-and-white 50s-style mission, and the Peelies’… peely? themed mission (maybe like that bravery the cowardly dog episode…) and have it convey some backstory or character nuggets, a spaghetti western setting for Dead eye, and so forth.

  • Mini bosses should be made into a map encounter; it’s entertaining to have them stroll up to you in the middle of the throng, but they’re more irritating to deal with than I’d want; I’d prefer them be an optional boss hunt.

  • When you’ve accomplished a mission’s goals and uncovered everything of interest but still have 10-15 minutes until evacuation, you can’t sit there and wait it out since you’ll be booted for inactivity.

  • a “Husk-tiary” or “Husk Bestiary,” so we can keep track of the creatures we encounter on our journey.

  • Unbreakable weapons, in the sense of being able to find super rare unbreakable weapons’ in missions at random, but not being able to get schematics for them, such as Mythic or Unique quality weapons with stats that progress with your progress through the game, or even making the stats static so they can’t be changed after they’ve been dropped or picked up, or even until the mission is completed, such as a unique weapons cache.

There was a lot more, but my mind went blank…

  • Problems with memory leaks and saves are never resolved.

Hello. I’ve previously made a post here, and nothing has changed since then. I experienced the following issues: I arrived on the 19th, and the game was already over. After a crash, you’ll realize that you’ve lost your memories (I have 8 GB Ram and a computer that would be very capable of running the game well). When I…

  • I’ve compiled a list of writing issues I’ve come across in The Witcher 3.

The Witcher 3 has excellent writing in general, however there are a few notable problems that I noticed: SPOILERS BELOW: Clearly, Crones was irresponsible with Ciri and allowed her to go. Given her rank and worth, how can they not prevent this by magic or common sense? Uma was introduced to Baron after he survived the cockatrice assault.
