This thread is for general information on the upcoming GTA Online update, transfers of your existing GTA Online character, and a FAQ. Please do not post any personal info from this thread outside of its designated purpose or it will be removed.
Important information to remember:
– This game is only available on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. There is currently no PC version of any of the new material, and there has been no statement as to when or if it will be released.
— To use the Rockstar Editor, you must buy the Story Mode version.
— Players of the next-gen version of GTA Online CANNOT play with those of the previous-gen version.
— Only one usage of the new Career Builder mode is permitted.

Instructions for Official Transfers
Errors/Warnings in the Transfer
– You cannot transfer from PC to PS5 or XBX|S, nor from any other platform to PC.
— Once you move your character from PS4 or XBox One to the last-gen console, the transferred character will no longer be accessible. You must create a new character and start again if you want to play that version again.
– In order for the Playstation free million each month to be eligible for transfer to PS5, you must have claimed it and signed into the PS4 version of GTA.
— There is no set deadline for character transfers, so you don’t have to do it right away.
– You may only move one account to the next-generation edition of GTA Online at a time.
Special Works of Hao
Exclusive to the latest generation consoles, Hao has taken over the LS Car Meet’s Mod Shop to offer his services as a specialist customizer with Special Works of Hao. First, unlock Special Works of Hao by taking his phone call and completing a time trial using a high-performing, HSW-modified vehicle. Once you beat the par time, Hao’s shop will be unlocked for business, allowing you to purchase an HSW upgrade for eligible vehicles and then add a new range of modifications including groundbreaking acceleration, Chameleon Paint, and more.
There are also five new cars available today exclusively for the newest generation of consoles:

Plus returning players from PS4 and Xbox One will receive a complimentary all-new and fully HSW-upgraded Karin S95 after unlocking Special Works of Hao. In addition, these players will unlock the Dark Purple Pearl and Red Prismatic Pearl Chameleon Paints for all HSW-eligible vehicles with the ability to apply either one for free.
Use these specially customized cars to enter your freshly updated HSW vehicles into the new HSW Race Series. The LS Car Meet will also feature Hao’s Premium Test Ride vehicles on a weekly basis with his own podium, allowing LS Car Meet Members on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S to test drive a weekly selection of highly modified HSW-eligible vehicles with the option to buy right off the lot — without having to go to a dealer’s website.
The first Premium Test Ride vehicle is a souped-up Bravado Banshee decked out in Special Works of Hao proprietary upgrades and a matching livery. One thing’s for sure: the other cars on the lot will know where you got your work done. Once it’s up to spec, you’ll be able to test your ride’s mettle out in the new HSW Time Trial, a dash from East Vinewood to Vespucci Beach.

Anyone who is getting started in GTA Online on the latest generation consoles will have access to The Career Advancement Program, helping everyone enter the world of GTA Online with useful tools for rising from street-level hustler to criminal kingpin. Choose from one of four Criminal Careers — Executive, Gunrunner, Nightclub Owner, or Biker — and select from a range of properties, powerhouse vehicles, and weaponry to kickstart your enterprise. The Career Advancement Program is also available to anyone who wants to restart their character in GTA Online.
Migration of GTA Online Profiles

Any Characters, GTA$, Progression, Stats, Vehicles, Properties, Weapons, Clothing, and Player-Created Jobs may be smoothly transferred from PS4 or Xbox One to PS5 or Xbox Series X|S with a Rockstar Games Social Club account.
Returning players who migrate their profiles will also receive the all-new Karin S95 — converted and tuned up courtesy of Special Works of Hao —along with the exclusive Cool Noise HSW Racing Suit, Dark Purple Pearl Chameleon Paint, and Red Prismatic Pearl Chameleon Paint.
Simply open up the game on one of these new consoles, and you’ll be offered the opportunity to transfer your GTA Online profile the first time you log in. You may also utilize the Migrate Profile option in the Online part of the Pause Menu to move your character.
Please note that migrating your GTA Online Profile will remove it from the PS4 or Xbox One account it was originally linked to, requiring you to establish a new one in order to continue playing on the original platform.

There are a number of new quality-of-life enhancements for senior players, including the opportunity to pick various session types from the Find New Session submenu, in addition to the new Chameleon Paints for all qualifying cars in GTA Online.
On PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, we’ve made improvements to raise basic payments on Biker Sell Missions and Nightclub Daily Income as we continue to develop and refine the GTA Online experience. Bugs that have been discovered:
– There have been several reports of music not playing and other audio-related difficulties.
– When attempting to deliver an Exotic Export vehicle, the yellow circle at the docks is broken.
– Being unable to log in as a CEO or VIP while using company computers.
– Being unable to move due to lengthy loading screens
– When transferring your character, you get a black screen.
