Kingdom Hearts 1.5 is a game that has been in development for quite some time, but was recently released on the PS4 and Xbox One by Square Enix. But what about those of us who still want to experience it on their PS3 or Wii U? This article will show you how to farm Lucid Shards from Kingdom Hearts 1.5 using an exploit found by GameXplain’s David Jagneaux (@D_Jag), which may no longer be possible once future updates have been applied – so use this tutorial now before it’s too late!

How To Farm Lucid Shards in Kingdom Hearts 1.5 –

Only a few heartless drop lucid shards: Shadows, Shadows of Gigas, and Mushrooms, White. Bambi’s summon in Monstro may also be used to cultivate them.

However, the Shadows and Shadows of Gigas that spawn in the Wonderland Bizarre Room are your best choice for farming. If the basic Shadows spawn do not appear when you enter the room, exit and re-enter.

Lucid Shards are the most frequent drop of all the “Lucid” synthesis components, and they’re pretty simple to defeat. As a result, you can swiftly farm a large number of them.

These shards may also be used to create a variety of helpful synthesis items, such as Defense Ups and Dark Matter.

I’m looking for Lucid Shards, but I’m not sure where to get them.

Only a few foes may be farmed for lucid shards, with the shadow heartless being the easiest to kill.

Fortunately, they’re quite popular drops that are rather easy to stock up on.

You may also harvest these shards with Bambi’s summon, but let’s look at all of your options:

Shadows

Yes, they are your standard Heartless starters.

These runts have an 8% chance of dropping a shard for you (3% in Final Mix).

Because they are the most prevalent heartless in the game, you should expect them to drop a lot of shards along the way (you’ll run across them a lot).

If you wish to farm more, the Bizarre Room in Wonderland may create a swarm of them.

Shadows of Gigas

The Shadows have returned in far bigger form to bash back and take names.

If you’re playing KH1.5 Final Mix, these Shadows of Gigas will be your best farming method. Note that they do not appear in the original PS2 version of the game.

They spawn in Wonderland’s Bizarre Room as an uncommon encounter.

Here’s how to get them to come out:

If you enter the room and there are a whole bunch of normal Shadows around, like only Shadows, then keep defeating them (and picking up any Lucid Shards you happen to get). After a couple waves of regular Shadows you’ll get a swarm of Shadows of Gigas.

The odds of getting a shard rise with each Gigas you beat, reaching 100% if you defeat 5 or more in total.

Here’s a short breakdown of their Lucid Shard drop rates:

Shadows of Gigas Rate of Decrease (Lucid Shard)
Defeated 1 10%
Defeated 2 20%
Defeated 3 35%
Defeated 4 50%
Defeated by 5 or more 100%

Mushrooms, White

These are uncommon mushroom-shaped heartless that may be found in a variety of planets.

You probably know the gist by now, but basically you want to cast a certain spell on these mushrooms when they charade for the spell. If you do it correctly then you’ll have different drops based on which spells you cast & how many you get right (each mushroom disappears after 3 total spells).

It’s your signal if you notice a mushroom hovering above the ground as though it’s levitating.

You’ll want to cast Gravity, which will always drop a Lucid shard if it’s the final spell you cast from the 3-in-a-row.

Bambi is a fictional character created by Bambi (Monstro)

While on the field, summoning Bambi in Monstro and destroying foes will fill up his gauge.

If you can fill it up three times, he’ll have a 60% chance of dropping a Lucid Shard for you. Alternatively, if you can only fill x2 gauges, he’ll have a 40% chance of dropping.

This can work for farming, but ultimately it’s probably faster & easier to farm the Shadows/Shadows of Gigas.

What Is the Purpose of Lucid Shards?

Lucid Shards may be found in a variety of synthesis formulas throughout the game, including:

Increase any party member’s Defense stat by one point.

List III, x5 Lucid Shards, x3 Lucid Gems, x1 Lucid Crystal, and x1 Mystery Goo may be used to make this in KH1 (for PS2).

If you’re playing Kingdom Hearts 1.5, the formula is x3 Lucid Shards, x3 Bright Shards, x2 Bright Gems, x1 Power Crystal, and x5 Orichalcum on List IV.

Dark Ring: A useful defensive equipment that provides +3 Defense and +20 percent resistance to dark damage.

With List I and x2 Lucid Shards, x1 Bright Shard, and x2 Mythril Shards, you can create this in the original KH1. It’s worth noting that the formula for KH1.5 is different.

Cottage: Using this outside of battle will fully heal your entire party’s HP & MP.

These may be made using x1 Lucid Shard and x1 Bright Shard in KH1.5/Final Mix with List I.

A different formula is used in the original Kingdom Hearts 1 game, which does not involve any Lucid Shards.

Power Chain: A modest item that grants +2 Strength. Make a KH1.5 ReMIX/Final Mix using List to synthesize it. I’m utilizing a total of two Power Shards and one Lucid Shard.

Use the Gaia Bangle on any party member to get +9 HP and +3 Defense.

With List III, x5 Lucid Shards, x3 Lucid Gems, and x1 Lightning Stone, you may construct one in Kingdom Hearts 1.5.

Lucid Shards aren’t required in the original KH1 recipe.

Dark Matter is a synthesis element that only occurs in KH1.5 and may be made more of via synthesis (to use in other recipes).

Use x9 Lucid Shards, x1 Gale, and x2 Mythril to make this.

Master Earring: Gives anybody in your party a +4 AP and +2 Defense boost.

With List II and x3 Lucid Shards, x2 Lucid Gems, and x2 Spirit Gems, this can be created in the original KH1.

A recipe in KH1.5/Final Mix does not need any of these shards.

Is it Worth Farming Lucid Shards?

Because Shadows may be found in practically every world in Kingdom Hearts, you might not need to harvest any of them.

However, if you do need to farm, they’re really simple to get. The Bizarre Room is where you should be.

Wipe off a lot of shadows and create what you need, since a lot of the goods on this list are worth a few additional minutes of farming.
