In the first installment of our Top 5, we looked at why Rock types are superior to Ground. Pokemon Sun and Moon have just been released, so it’s time for a new top five list!
The Top Five Most Powerful Items In Games:
1) The ultimate weapon in any RPG (Role Playing Game), RPGs were always about giving players more power than they had before. Let’s not forget that most games let you choose your class when you start them up – which means all classes can wield some serious firepower by level 20 or 30. These weapons might be found on the ground or carried over from previous playthroughs as well- but with enough skill and luck, anyone will eventually find a way to master these items’ powers.
2) Weapons aren’t the only things capable of bringing down giants – Magic is also incredibly powerful in many games like Final Fantasy 7 and 9, Skyrim Enhancement Gems , World of Warcraft Mastery Books . Spells don ‘ t require ammo though; making this item useful even if enemies get too far away for ranged attacks (which I wouldn’t recommend anyway). There’s no doubt that magic has become an essential part of modern gaming since its establishment in titles such as Baldur’s Gate II: Shadows Over Bhaal., Diablo 3 : Reaper Of Souls And Fable 2 : Rise To Glory

The “best rock songs” is a list of the best rock songs, ranked. The rankings are based on the number of times each song has been listened to by listeners in the United States.

The Best Rock & Ground-Types, Ranked –

It’s difficult to find both Rock and Ground Pokémon.

It’s really bad, since they’re often among the greatest monsters you can add to your squad.

To celebrate these unique typings, we’ve ranked the absolute finest Rock/Ground types in the Johto games that you could add to your squad.

We’ll be focusing on HeartGold & SoulSilver here, but these picks can apply to Gold/Silver/Crystal as well.

5. Golem

Golem in Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver

Golem is a powerful Pokémon that suffers from an unpleasant dual-typing.

Because of its Rock/Ground type, it has 4x vulnerabilities to Grass and Water techniques, making it almost worthless in bouts against these prevalent kinds.

But if it isn’t facing these sorts of Pokémon, Golem will be able to use its greatest strength: a reservoir of high-damage physical attacks.

Earthquake is an obvious pick, accounting for half of Golem’s STAB moves.

Golem could utilize Stone Edge, which he gained naturally at level 49, for Rock-type STAB.

Unfortunately, getting to level 49 takes a long time. In the meanwhile, teach Golem Rock Throw or Rock Blast.

Consider putting down some entrance hazards using the Stealth Rock TM, which can be acquired in the Celadon Department Store, when Golem isn’t up against anything it can one-shot.

Finally, we may teach Golem “Roar” as a last-ditch method of removing a Grass or Water-type Pokémon from the field. Roar is a TM that can be found on Route 32.

Catch a Geodude on Route 45 or 46, then develop it into a Graveler when it reaches level 25. To obtain your Golem, trade Graveler to another game and return.

Tyranitar is number four.

Tyranitar in Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver

Tyranitar is, without a doubt, the greatest Rock-type this side of Gen 8… However, I am unable to place it higher on the list.

Larvitar isn’t discovered in the wild until late in HGSS, just before the last fight with Red.

As a result, you won’t get much usage out of it.

But what if you already had Larvitar from another game and traded it to yourself? That’s a lot more like it.

At level 54, Pupitar learns Stone Edge, which will be Tyranitar’s major STAB move.

Tyranitar Crunch, another move it’ll learn as a Pupitar, may be used for Dark-type STAB.

Earthquake will also be there to deal with any Steel-types that could pose a danger to Tyranitar.

Finally, to compensate for Tyranitar’s Bug and Grass weaknesses, we’ll give him the Flamethrower TM. Flamethrower may be found on Route 28 or at the Goldenrod City Department Store.

You can capture a Tyranitar in a few different methods. The appropriate method to develop a Larvitar into Pupitar is to capture one on Mt. Silver and train it to level 30. At level 55, Pupitar will develop into Tyranitar.

However, I propose obtaining a Larvitar from a finished copy of Diamond or Platinum, which can be found on Routes 206 and 207, respectively.

Marowak is number three on the list.

Marowak in Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver

Marowak may seem to be a step down from Tyranitar.

What it lacks in data, however, it more than makes up for in accessibility.

Marowak, being a true Ground-type, should have Earthquake in its moveset.

However, it does not learn this via leveling, so we’ll have to go for the TM for Earthquake this time. It’s available for purchase on Victory Road or in the Battle Frontier Market.

We can also give Marowak some extra utility by teaching it Dig via TM. This is helpful in battle & in the overworld as a free Escape Rope.

Dig is available as early as the National Park, which is located just north of Goldenrod City.

Because Marowak’s poor defensive attributes often let it down, we may teach it Stealth Rock to guarantee that, despite the brief amount of time it will spend fighting, it will have a lasting influence on the battle.

Finally, try teaching Marowak Flamethrower to help it compensate for its weakness against Grass-type attacks.

The Kanto Rock Tunnel and the Johto Safari Zone are both good places to look for Marowak and its pre-evolution (Cubone).

2. Aerodactyl is a kind of dinosaur.

Aerodactyl in Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver

Aerodactyl is my personal favorite Pokémon on the list, however it falls short of the #1 slot owing to how late in the game you’ll find it.

Aerodactyl’s once-unique Rock/Flying type offers it an unusual collection of resistances and weaknesses, so let’s build its moveset around avoiding some of the unique threats it’ll encounter.

Iron Tail will shield it from any Rock-type users, while Flamethrower will take care of its Ice and Steel-type vulnerabilities.

You will get the Iron Tail TM as a prize for defeating the Olivine City Gym.

Aerodactyl’s major offensive move is the Rock Slide, which he acquired naturally at level 65.

Rock Tomb, which can be found in Union Cave between Azalea Town and Route 32, will suffice till then.

Fly and Aerial Ace both work well with flying-type STAB, so choose whatever best suits your needs.

How to get it: Collect the Old Amber by continuously hitting the rocks in the Ruins of Alph using Rock Smash. Bring it to Kanto’s Pewter City Museum to be transformed into Aerodactyl.

Steelix is number one.

Steelix in Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver

Steelix stands out among the others on this list because to its Steel/Ground dual-typing.

Steelix’s long list of type resistances allows us to fill its moveset with four offensive attacks.

Earthquake makes a reappearance as the greatest Ground-type move, while Stone Edge provides useful shielding against Fire-types.

Steelix’s massive size makes it ideal for laying down some Stealth Rocks as well. So make sure you get that TM.

Finally, we’ll exploit Steelix’s bottom-tier speed stat to make the most of STAB Gyro Ball, a move that becomes more potent as the user slows down.

Obtain a Metal Coat from the S.S. Aqua after beating the Elite Four by catching an Onix in Union Cave.

To develop Onix into Steelix, equip it with this Metal Coat and trade it to another cartridge. Return the trade and take pleasure in your new snake.
