Storm Division of the Nexus Gaming Series – Playoffs

  • Anti-Clown Association defeats Can’t Censor Ship 3-2 in the upper bracket semifinal ( )

The META Madness playoffs are about to begin.

The META Madness tournament’s sixth edition playoffs will take place this weekend! META Madness is a tournament series hosted by Khaldor in which professional players are forced to choose unusual Heroes. Twenty Heroes are banned for the duration of the tournament, and then all ten Heroes chosen in each game are banned for the remainder of the series. All matches are best-of-five, save for the first upper bracket round, and in a probable fifth game of a bo5 series, 60 Heroes are banned out of the 90 available in the game. In the previous iteration, a team comprised of Raynor, Artanis, Whitemane, Li Li, and Cassia won the Grand Last’s final game. You may use this spreadsheet to keep track of which Heroes are banned in each series (remember to change the tabs at the bottom).

The playoffs are a double elimination bracket style that runs from Thursday to Sunday and are seeded by a group stage that took place the week before. Eight elite EU players – Daykwaza, Drakyr, Dynouh, HasuObs, Makke, Nagrom, Nic, SmX – selected the teams via a captain’s draft method, and the complete rosters can be seen here.

Anduin, Anubarak, Blaze, Dehaka, Genji, Hanzo, Hogger, Johanna, Junkrat, Li-Ming, Lucio, Medivh, Muradin, Rehgar, Hammer, Stukov, Sylvanas, Tracer, Valla, Zeratul are among the Heroes who have been pre-banned.
