Electronic Arts has announced that Battlefield 2042 will be delayed to November 19, 2021. The game is being pushed back from the original release date of October 4th, 2020 in order to give developers time to add more content and polish the title.

The battlefield 2042 technical playtest reddit is a post on the popular gaming website, Reddit. It discusses DICE’s decision to delay Battlefield 2042 from its original release date of October 18th, 2020 to November 19th, 2021.

Battlefield 2042 will no longer be released on October 22, 2021, as originally intended, according to DICE. Instead, on November 19, 2021, the multiplayer-only FPS will be released almost a month later.

The revised Battlefield 2042 release date was revealed by DICE’s general manager, Oskar Gabrielson, who issued a message on Twitter this afternoon explaining why the company had chosen to postpone the game. It seems to have everything to do with the current worldwide epidemic, which, according to DICE, has presented the Battlefield team with “unforeseen difficulties.”

We’ve decided to delay the release of Battlefield 2042. On November 19th, 2021, the game will be published globally.

Our development teams have faced unexpected difficulties while working on the next version of Battlefield amid a worldwide epidemic. Given the game’s size and breadth, we had anticipated that our teams would be back in their studios together as we neared launch. We believe it is essential to take the additional time to deliver on the goal of Battlefield 2042 for our gamers, given the current circumstances that prevent that from happening safely and all of the hard work the teams are doing from home.

Your passion for the game has been contagious. We believe in the game we’re creating, and we appreciate your patience while we put the final touches on it.

The delay in Battlefield 2042 is regrettable, but DICE has promised to provide an update on the game’s Open Beta later this month. The game will be available on Origin, Steam, and the Epic Games Store for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.
